A day patched with quilting seldom unravels.

I come from a long line of quilters, sewers and embroiderers. All the women in my family have had a love for craft and handwork, and have passed that love down through the generations.

Post-retirement, quilting has become my second career. Tucked away on a secluded hill in Auburndale, I began by investing in a longarm quilting machine. Fifteen years later, I still deeply enjoy collaborating with customers on artful labours of love. My favourite personal projects include scrap quilts, piecing and appliqué.

Owning a quilt store has long been on my trunk list. I've opened up my studio as a retail shop with fabric, notions, machines, classes, blocks of the month, and much more. I'm surrounded with friends just as passionate as I am, and several have joined the studio as quilt consultants. The studio has turned into a gathering place that's welcoming and warm as well as exceptional in its array of supplies and friendly knowledge. Every morning, opening up, I look forward to greeting fellow quilters through our doors, and sharing our contagious energy all for the love of quilting!
